The Iconic JAWS Is Getting Its Own LEGO Set

LEGO has unveiled the new LEGO Ideas JAWS set. Priced at US$159.99, it is set to release on 1 August 2024.

Consisting of 1497 pieces, it features the 35cm/14in high Orca boat and a white shark on a 59cm/23in wide diorama base. The highlight is the legendary Chief Brody’s quote “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.” on the front of the set. It also comes with three Minifigures of the Orca crew members, including Chief Brody, Matt Hooper and Quint.

The original JAWS movie was directed by Steven Spielberg, kickstarting the idea of the summer blockbuster movie. It premiered in 1975 (next year is its 50th anniversary) and remains one of the most iconic movies of all time, as well as making everyone afraid of sharks at the beach.
