Path Of Exile 2 Set For Early Access Launch This November

The wait is nearly over. Grinding Gear Games is gearing up to launch Path of Exile 2 in early access on 15 November, as announced during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live.

This update follows the developer’s earlier decision to delay the closed beta, citing an underestimation of the time required to refine the beta build. At present, there are no scheduled dates for an open beta.

As the follow-up to 2013’s Path of Exile, the sequel aims to simplify the original’s notoriously complex systems, such as the passive skill tree, for new players. It will introduce a fresh six-act campaign, an enhanced skill gem system, and 12 unique classes. Notably, it will feature a “dual specialise” option, enabling players to tailor their skills to different weapons and automatically switch between them.

Despite the focus on the new release, Path of Exile will continue to receive updates and new content. The sequel will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC, with cross-play, cross-progression, and split-screen co-op supported on consoles.
