SNK Launches The King Of Fighters 30th Anniversary; 30 Announcements Planned

Game company SNK is celebrating 30 years of The King of Fighters with a special 30th anniversary website and more.

Apart from a spiffy website with a ton of KOF and Fatal Fury characters like Terry Bogard and Kyo Kusanagi, SNK will be launching 30 programs and announcements starting from today until 13 September. Here’s the breakdown:

• Part 1: Release of Development Setting Documents for The King of Fighters Series (26 August): The characters of The King of Fighters series are the heart and soul of its story. To celebrate them, we’re unveiling rare and exclusive development materials—including original setting images, rough sketches, costume designs, and more.
• Part 2: Relive the Passionate Memories! A The King of Fighters Series Poster Unveiled (6 September): Step back in time with the original posters and materials from the release of each numbered The King of Fighters title, now available for viewing. Just one look is sure to ignite the passionate memories of those legendary days!
• Part 3: 30th Anniversary Digital Stickers and Smartphone Wallpapers (13 September): In celebration of The King of Fighters‘s 30th anniversary, we’re excited to offer exclusive digital stickers and wallpapers for smartphones. Feel free to use them as icons for your accounts or as screensavers on your mobile devices.

The KOF series has been around in arcades since 25 August, 1994. It started with 1994 and recently had its 15th game, The King of Fighters XV, which came out in February 2022.
