The Occultist Is A New Supernatural Horror RPG; Shares Release Window in Cinematic Trailer

Daedalic Entertainment and developer DALOAR has recently announced their upcoming supernatural horror adventure game, The Occultist.

The announcement came alongside a cinematic trailer that offers a sneak peek into the eerie and thrilling experience awaiting players. Spanning three minutes, the trailer introduces us to the protagonist, Alan Rebels, a paranormal investigator who ventures to the enigmatic GodStone island and explores an eerie, deserted mansion. A sinister spirit, detected by Alan’s mystical pendulum, pursues him briefly before being destroyed in front of a mirror, leaving behind a flower gem brooch that Alan decides to keep.

The narrative unfolds as Alan seeks to uncover the mystery behind his father’s vanishing. The game emphasizes the use of the pendulum, a mysterious object that Alan has consistently utilized in his paranormal investigations.

Players must navigate Alan through the daunting spirits that linger in the abandoned structures of GodStone, using his paranormal abilities to engage with or evade these entities. Through sneaking and cunning, players must help him progress without falling prey to the lurking dangers.

While an exact release date is yet to be disclosed, The Occultist is anticipated to debut in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
