Dragon Ball DAIMA Drops Fresh Trailer Before Powering Up To Premiere

Dragon Ball returns next month with a brand-new adventure, Dragon Ball DAIMA, set to premiere on 11 October in Japan. Marking the 40th anniversary of the late Akira Toriyama’s legendary Dragon Ball manga, this fresh anime series brings a new story that hasn’t been explored in any previous anime or manga.

Dragon Ball DAIMA has been a bit of a mystery throughout the year, but that’s all changing as the anime gears up for its big debut. The trailer even gives us a sneak peek at a mini Super Saiyan Goku, sparking fans’ excitement. While DAIMA has no direct meaning in Japanese, the kanji can be read as “evil” so do with that what you will.

The late Akira Toriyama, the mastermind behind Dragon Ball, played a pivotal role in shaping DAIMA’s story and character designs. The series is directed by Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki, with Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru adapting Toriyama’s iconic designs for animation. Yuuko Kakihara is on board as the scriptwriter, ensuring the new series stays true to the spirit of the original.

While details about its international release and streaming platforms are still under wraps, the countdown to Dragon Ball DAIMA’s Japanese premiere is officially on. So keep an eye out for more updates as we approach the debut of this highly anticipated anime.
