Palworld Set For Mobile Release As Krafton & PUBG Studios Take The Helm
Palworld is officially heading to mobile devices, with the developers behind PUBG Mobile taking charge of the port under a new agreement secured by Krafton. Just days after the game’s surprise launch on PlayStation, it’s now confirmed that the popular survival title is expanding to mobile, thanks to a new partnership between Krafton and Pocketpair announced on 2 October.
PUBG Studios, the team responsible for PUBG Mobile’s success, will be leading the charge, aiming to adapt Palworld’s gameplay for mobile while retaining the core elements fans love. However, the project is still in its early stages, so a release date is far from certain.
Despite ongoing legal issues with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, which filed a joint lawsuit against Pocketpair on 19 September, the development of Palworld shows no signs of slowing down. The lawsuit focuses on alleged patent infringements concerning gameplay systems rather than character designs, a legal expert clarified. Pocketpair responded swiftly, stating they were unaware of the specific claims but assured their commitment to moving forward for their fans.
