Reforged Studios’ Portfolio Expands with Acquisitions and New Leadership
Reforged Studios, a game publisher founded in 2023 with operations in the UK and Malta, has acquired Ground Shatter and Extra Mile Studios. The publisher aims to empower the studios it acquires by providing them with a strong business and operations support system while allowing them to continue creating exceptional games.

Peter van der Watt, CEO of Reforged Studios, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, highlighting that both Ground Shatter and Extra Mile Studios were top choices for the Reforged family. He emphasized the potential for growth and success that both teams possess and looks forward to a successful journey together.
Ground Shatter, known for the BAFTA-nominated Fights in Tight Spaces and the recently announced Knights in Tight Spaces, is led by founder and Director, James Parker. On the other hand, Extra Mile Studios, headed by industry veteran Bobby Farmer, is renowned for its co-dev services on the Broken Sword series for Revolution Software.

In addition to the acquisitions, Reforged Studios is pleased to announce the hiring of Keith Chaudhary from Devolver Digital as the new Head of Finance and Lara Brown from Kythera AI as Business Operations Manager. This news comes after their recent acquisition of Extra Mile Studios and Ground Shatter in August.
