Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven – Post Game Guide & New Game+
By KakuchopureiVerified|October 24, 2024|0 Comment
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is out right now and features a ton of quests to complete. Even if you complete the main quest, there’s still a post-game wrap-up to consider tackling.
Here’s a guide on how the endgame content of the Romancing SaGa 2 Remake pans out. Since we’re dealing with the end, there will be spoilers so consider yourselves warned.
After beating the game and defeating the final boss, the credits will roll. You will then be asked to save your completed data; do it on a separate save file and do not overwrite it. If you load the file, you start back at your kingdom.
The following are accessible after you complete the game and when you continue your playthrough using the completed save data:
The Dreadhome is a new dungeon in the game with a new boss. The dungeon has a bunch of winding tunnels, platforms, and some nice treasure to find and is filled with Termites and all sorts of endgame enemies.
At the end of the dungeon is the superboss: The Dread Queen. She’s basically the final form of the Termite Queen.
The Dread Queen has two phases; its second phase is just as tough as the last boss as she can take multiple turns the longer the battle lasts. We highly suggest you get the best weapons from the Seven Heroes boss fights in the Tower (see next paragraph for Seven Heroes Tower rematch).
When you defeat her, you unlock New Game+.
When you unlock the new post-game dungeon Dreadhome, you will come across a room called the Tower halfway in the dungeon. This circular room has 7 pedestals near its walls and a giant circular device in the centre, along with a save point and BP restoration pad.
To activate the device in the center, you need to find all 15 Seven Heroes Memories scattered throughout the world. Here’s a video on how to find all 15 of them.
Once you find all 15 Memories, you can activate the device in the Tower. This lets you fight the Seven Heroes in human form, each with new moves and old (from their demon forms). If you beat them normally, you get new passive abilities that you cannot find anywhere else. If you beat them in 5 turns or less, you get their ultimate weapon that has its own Glimmer powers to unlock.
If you need help figuring out how to defeat them in 5 turns or less, check out this video.
Once you defeat the Dread Queen for the first time, you will unlock the New Game+ option. The following properties will be carried over in New Game+:
New difficulty options are unlocked: “Expert” and “Romancing”. Both are tougher than Classic mode, with the latter giving early-game monsters LP-draining attacks. Note that for these difficulties, you cannot lower the difficulty halfway in the game, nor can you select it partway through your current playthrough. You will have to tough it out once you select it.
