First Glimpse At Black Ops 6 Season 1 Teases New Maps & Resurgence

Activision has dropped an early teaser for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1, offering players a sneak peek at three new multiplayer maps: Hideout, Extraction, and Heirloom. All three maps, tailored for 6v6 and 2v2 modes, are set to roll out as part of the game’s initial season of live content, which kicks off on 14 November.

This first season promises a substantial boost to the game’s free content, featuring new multiplayer experiences, Zombies, and a fresh addition to Warzone. In a recent social media post, Activision hinted that Season 1 “dives Black Ops into the criminal underground,” setting the stage for gritty, action-packed gameplay.

The season preview comes after last week’s additions, including the classic Nuketown map and the Infected multiplayer mode, further bolstering the game’s offerings. In addition to new maps, the launch will introduce Warzone’s Area 99 Resurgence map, a high-stakes battleground set in Nevada’s arid desert. Known officially as Echo Ridge Weapons Station, this secret government facility was originally established in the 1950s and lies within miles of the Nuketown test site, adding a touch of historical intrigue to the fast-paced action.

With Black Ops 6 shaking things up as the first in the series to land on Game Pass from day one, it’s clear Activision isn’t holding back. This season packs in gritty new maps, throwbacks like Nuketown, and a top-secret Resurgence battleground to keep players on edge. If Season 1 is just the beginning, you might want to buckle up—because the underground world of Black Ops 6 is only getting wilder from here.
