SEGA Dives into 4K Action with Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O

SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have officially unveiled Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O., an upgraded edition of the beloved fighting game that promises to deliver next-level experience. This new iteration boasts stunning 4K resolution, the much-requested rollback netcode for smoother online matches, and various gameplay enhancements that fans have been eagerly anticipating.

For the first time in the series, the game will feature rollback netcode, aiming to minimize latency issues during online gameplay, creating a more seamless experience for players worldwide. SEGA has also indicated that the balance adjustments in this version will address the most frequently requested changes from the community, ensuring a more refined competitive environment.

Players, both new and returning, can look forward to classic game modes such as Arcade and Rank Matches, alongside custom online tournaments and leagues capable of accommodating up to 16 participants. Additionally, the all-new Spectator Mode will allow you to ” learn from the best”. Most details are still under wraps for now.

While a specific release date has not yet been announced, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is set to launch this Winter on PC via Steam. This release will coincide with the rollout of the Ver. 2.0 balance update for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown.
