The Pokémon TCG Pocket Has Surpassed Its 10 Million Milestone

Earlier we announced the launch of Pokémon TCG Pocket, the mobile version of the Pokémon card game in digital form for iOS and Android.

It’s only been 2 days and the app has already reached past the millions milestone. The app has surpassed over 10 million downloads worldwide since its launch.

What’s different about this version is that it’s made simpler rules-wise; the game is more accessible for casual players. Also, the game has microtransactions. This may explain the 10 million downloads; multiple people are replaying and enrolling their accounts to get the cards and starters they want. It remains to be seen if the numbers will be broken down by the Pokémon Company, or by third-party app-studying analysts like Sensor Tower.
