FF16’s Clive Rosfield Punches His Way Into Tekken 8 As Final Year 1 Fighter

Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy 16 is officially joining Tekken 8 as the final character of the Year 1 pass, launching with early access on 16 December. Revealed at The Game Awards, he’ll be joining iconic fighters like Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima.

Before the reveal, fans had plenty of guesses, from Goro Majima to Young Sheldon, but Clive takes the spot instead. This isn’t the first guest character for Tekken—Tekken 7 saw additions like Geese Howard and Noctis from FFXV. Clive now joins Noctis as the second Final Fantasy character in the series.

The brief trailer shows Clive’s moveset, focusing on his Eikon abilities and swordplay with Phoenix-based throws and combos. Clive wraps up Year 1, but more content is on the way. A Year 2 pass was teased, with Anna Williams likely joining in 2025. Tekken 8 is shaping up to be a standout entry in the franchise.
