Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Runs Past Global Box Office Milestone Including Malaysia

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 runs to an incredible US$211.5 million worldwide after premiering in many markets outside the US last week, including Malaysia.

The top 10 debut markets for Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (via Deadline) are the UK (No. 1 at US$15.1 million), Mexico (No. 1 at US$10.3 million), France (No. 2 at US$7.3 million), Australia (No. 1 at US$5.5 million), Germany (No. 4 at US$5.5 million), Spain (No. 2 at US$3.3 million), Panama (No. 2 at US$2.3 million); Peru (No. 2 at US$1.6 million), Colombia (No. 2 at US1.3 million) and Malaysia (No.1 at US$1.3 million).

Meanwhile, the global box office revenue for Mufasa The Lion King has reached US$328 million (check out our review here), while Moana 2 surpasses a whopping US$882.5 million (check out our review here). It’s been a financially lucrative time for Disney this holiday season, especially with not much competition besides Sonic The Hedgehog 3.
