A Gundam Card Game Is Set To Launch This July
The Gundam Card Game will launch worldwide on 11 July 2025.
The Gundam Card Game will launch with four starter decks and an initial booster pack set called Newtype Rising. Each Starter Deck appears to be themed around a different Gundam series.
Heroic Beginnings contains mechs from the original Mobile Suit Gundam show, Wings of Advance is focused on Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Zeon’s Rush has Zaku suits used in the original Mobile Suit Gundam, and Seed Strike has mechs from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. The Newtype Rising booster set will also contain cards from Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn not found in any of the starter decks.
Gundam Card Game features mobile suits and pilots from across the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. Each player wields a 50-card deck comprising Unit Cards (mobile suits), Pilot Cards, Base Cards, and Command Cards (the last two feature battleships and various characters).
Bandai also announced that players can use the Gundam Assemble miniatures as tokens in the game, with minis able to be placed on cards as they’re played. Confirmed minis for the starter decks include the RX-78-2 Gundam mini for Heroic Beginnings, the OZ-00MS Tallgeese for Wings of Advance, an MS-06S Zaku II Commander Type for Zeon’s Rush, and the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam for Seed Strike.
