A New Tony Hawk Game Might Be Grinding Into View Through Black Ops 6 Easter Egg

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 might be many things—an action-packed shooter, a chaotic online battleground, a place to hear 12-year-olds insult your entire existence—but who knew it could also be a crystal ball for gaming announcements?

According to a report from VGC, a newly added map in Black Ops 6 might be teasing the return of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. The map in question? Grind—a fan-favourite skatepark set in Venice, California, originally seen in Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 4. But here’s where things get interesting: inside one of the in-game skate shops, there’s a poster slapped on the wall featuring the date “03.04.25.” That’s 4 March 2025 for those of you who prefer words over numbers. The logo surrounding it? Suspiciously reminiscent of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater branding.

Coincidence? Probably not.

This isn’t the first time a new Tony Hawk game has been hinted at. Earlier this week, professional skater Tyshawn Jones let slip on a podcast that he’s appearing in an upcoming remaster. Jones casually revealed:

“I’m in a Tony Hawk coming out, that’s cool. They got a new one they remastering so that’s about to come out, I was in the last one.”

For context, Jones was in the critically acclaimed Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 remake, despite being too young to have been featured in the originals. So if he’s back for another round, it strongly suggests that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 could finally be getting the remake treatment.

If true, this would be music to the ears of long-time fans who have been grinding for years—metaphorically and literally—hoping Activision would resurrect the legendary series.

So, is this a full-on confirmation? Not quite. But between Black Ops 6’s sneaky easter egg and Jones’s slip of the tongue, it seems like we could be rolling toward an official announcement very soon.
