Retro Cartoon Samurai Pizza Cats Makes A Comeback In Video Game Form

Saturday Morning Cartoon fans and anime aficionados will be happy to know that the classic title Samurai Pizza Cats is coming back in game form.

The new title is called Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast From The Past! and is a 2D action RPG featuring tag-team action, the anime look and feel, and leveling-up.

Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast From The Past! will be out in 2026 for PC and consoles. Features list and trailer below:

Trailer Script and Cast

Satoru Akahori, the original screenplay writer, is supervising the Japanese trailer’s script.

• The English cast includes Rick Jones (Speedy Cerviche), Sonja Ball (Polly Esther), Terrence Scammell (Guido Anchovy, Narrator) and Dean Hagopian returning as Seymour “The Big” Cheese.
• The Japanese cast includes Kappei Yamaguchi (Yattarou), Ai Orikasa (Pururun), Ikuya Sawaki (Kitsunezuka Ko’on-no-Kami), Naoki Tatsuta (Karasu Gennarisai) and Kenyu Horiuchi (Narrator). Seiichiro Yamashita joins the cast as Sukashii, taking over the role from Jurota Kosugi, his senior at the same talent agency.
