World Famous Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo Is A Fatal Fury & SNK Character
The sons of bitches at SNK are actually pulling this PR stunt off: the company is roping in a world class football/soccer player in its upcoming 2D fighting game.
You heard right: Al Nassr and Portugese football player Cristiano Ronaldo, hailed as one of the greatest players of all time, is going to be a playable character in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. He will be butting heads with Terry, Rock, and the rest of the cast with his slick athletic kicks and football projectile attacks powered with what I assume is Ronaldo’s “football ki”. Guess you can get special martial arts powers when you step into Southtown.
“One of the top football players in the world.
He uses his time off to visit South Town to hone his new football skills. The various techniques he has developed playing football make him an unstoppable force, even to seasoned fighters.”
This isn’t the first time a legendary sports figure is in a fighting game. Shaquille O’Neal was in a fighting game of his own called Shaq Fu, though it wasn’t really good at all. If we’re talking football players in a fighter, Roberto of Rival Schools/Project Justice was the first back in 1997. The more you know, yeah?
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be out on 24 April for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
