The Cancelled CW Powerpuff Girls Live Adaptation TV Show Has A Trailer Leaked Out
Back in 2020, there were plans from CW to make a live-action Powerpuff Girls TV show where it’s modernized and showcases how the girls grew up. A script of it was leaked around that year, and it was pretty bad. CW took the sound advice of axing the pilot before it even aired.
Fast forward to now and we can get a glimpse of that CW Powerpuff vision. Thanks to Lost Media Busters, the trailer for the 2020 show is out in the wild, and it is as horrendous as everyone claims it to be. Professor Utonium still creates the Powerpuff Girls the same way -sugar, spice, everything nice, and Chemical X- but the girls are grown up, went their separate ways after a calamity involving Mojo and Jojo, and are trying to get back together in Townsville after a 7-year hiatus.
And apparently Bubbles is a fan of Insane Clown Posse. And Mojo and Jojo isn’t a typo; the cartoon talking simian is in fact two people: a father named Mojo who is a scientist and a boy named Jojo who grows up to become the Mayor of Townsville. And Blossom is flirting with Jojo for some reason. And Buttercup says the original cartoon that’s based on them in the CW universe is a whitewashed version of their true tale. The mind boggles….
The full trailer has been blocked worldwide, though some X/Twitter accounts have part of the trailer up and running.
Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea? We really dodged a bullet with this Powerpuff Girl live-action reboot. #ThisCantBeReal pic.twitter.com/ziZdBBCJIk

In fact, you can see how “accurate” the show is to the 1998 Cartoon Network series via our comparison video below.
