Ubisoft Is Working On A Rainbow Six Turn-Based Strategy Game

Ubisoft may be busy with a new take on the Rainbow Siege series.

According to an exclusive Insider Gaming scoop, Ubisoft is developing a turn-based tactics game set in the Rainbow Six Universe. This new game is set in the Rainbow Six Siege universe and will be released as a current-gen game for the PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The game’s camera will be a top-down isometric view similar to the Diablo and XCOM series. Sources said the game plays like a version of XCOM but with cinematic cutscenes and Tom Clancy military elements. The game will have you selecting different operators based on their skills, and then do their missions involving securing buildings and saving hostages.

Rainbow Six is one of Ubisoft’s biggest game IPs thanks to Rainbow Six Siege’s prolonged success, with over 50 million players on the game. As of now, Ubisoft in in talks to create a new subsidiary with Tencent.
