We Might Be Getting The Long-Awaited PlayStation 5 Port Of A Halo Game Soon…

Xbox’s recent Game Pass and multiplatform plans, essentially turning the company into a third-part game maker that happens to be selling an Xbox console, means that its previously-exclusive brands will end up on the PlayStation 5. Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 5, Gears of War; everything is open season.

So when is Halo, the Xbox first-person shooter golden child, getting the PS5 port treatment? Pretty soon.

According to the Halo News Bluesky account, a notable Halo dataminer who goes by “grunt.api” has confirmed that a Halo game will be coming to PlayStation “very soon”. The Halo game will not be ported for Nintendo Switch 2.

As to which Halo game will be ported, we have two choices: Halo – The Master Chief Collection and Halo Infinite. Both are viable contenders to be on the PlayStation 5, though the former has online issues and a host of other problems that fans have complained about and aren’t addressed. In any case, we’ll be hearing more news soon, maybe in the upcoming Halo Infinite Legacy launch trailer?
