Little Nemo Is Getting A New Metroidvania Title Slated For 2026
Little Nemo, the Windsor McCay-created comic character and 1989 animated musical fantasy-slash-development-hell-laden film anime character, is getting a new game of his own after so many years.
Developer DIE SOFT has announced a new search action title called Little Nemo and the Guardians of Slumberland, now with a new kind of art style and open-ended maze-filled gameplay that’s essentially a metroidvania with fantasy powers and stuff. The game will be out for PC (Steam) in Q1 2026. A Switch version will be out somewhere in 2026.
The last Little Nemo game was the NES title Little Nemo: The Dream Master back in 1990. It was a Capcom-made title and was a blast to play. Let’s hope this upcoming title does its gaming cousins proud.
