UNIQLO’s Studio Ghibli Collab Is Back to Hijack Your Wallet (Again)
By Lewis LarcombeVerified|June 11, 2025|0 Comment
If your wardrobe’s been feeling a little too… ordinary lately, UNIQLO is back with its third Studio Ghibli collaboration to fix that. And yes—just like a Ghibli film—expect a whirlwind of feels, charm, and that strange urge to spend all your money on animated nostalgia.
Launching 7 July 2025, this new drop is poetically titled “My Dear”, which sounds like something whispered by a whimsical woodland spirit before it steals your wallet. It’s the latest in UNIQLO’s ongoing campaign to weaponise childhood memories and turn them into fashion statements, and we are so here for it.
This time around, UNIQLO’s UT line isn’t just phoning it in. It features 14 new designs inspired by Ghibli’s greatest hits—from My Neighbor Totoro to Spirited Away, with artwork by celebrated Thai illustrator Kanyada Phatan and longtime Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki, who’s basically the real-life equivalent of Yubaba if she ran a creative agency.
Men’s T-shirts and sweatshirts will come in 11 styles ranging between RM59.90 to RM129.90, while KIDS T-shirts will arrive in 6 styles for RM39.90. Perfect for those who want to twin with their offspring or just have the fashion taste of a very stylish ten-year-old. Either way, no judgement.
And don’t worry—you won’t need to climb a bathhouse or fight off soot sprites to grab one. The full range will be available in all UNIQLO outlets across Malaysia and through their official online store.
Also, keep an eye out for a special launch event—because apparently, buying a shirt now needs fireworks and a parade.
