Remothered 3 Announced; Final Entry In Indie Horror Trilogy Inspired By Dario Argento’s Works

If you love horror games but wished most titles had that “giallo” feel, the Remothered series has you covered. So far there’s been two entries in Stormind’s horror series that garnered a cult following, and it’s been eons since there was a new game. For context, Remothered 2 came out in 2020.

Well, that all changes now. Stormare has announced that it’s working on a third game: Remothered – Red Nun’s Legacy. The final entry in the Remothered trilogy will not only be a new survival horror game that even curious new players can jump in, but it will also have nods and story bits tied to the previous titles.

In Red Nun’s Legacy, players will enter a world where nothing is quite as it seems. Players will be controlling a mother in search of her missing daughter in an abandoned house. Exploring a convent, you’ll need to use your wits to overcome disturbing revelations, secrets, and a twisted reality to learn the truth behind the Red Nun—all while surviving the relentless Stalkers preying upon you.

“Remothered was the first game we developed at the very beginning of our journey, and after our experiences with A Quiet Place and Mafia: The Old Country, we returned to the series because we couldn’t accept seeing Remothered fade away,” said Stormind CEO Antonio Cannata. “We decided to make this game out of a strong sense of respect and responsibility toward Remothered and its community, who thought this project had been abandoned.”

Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy will be out later in 2026 for PC, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
