You’re Getting More Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045 Next Year

The CGI Netflix anime Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 may have its detractors, but most folks are glad to see the Major and her pals get another shot in anime life. So much so that Netflix is renewing the anime for another season.

During the Netflix Festival Japan 2021 livestream today, the second season of Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 will be out worldwide in 2022. The show will be directed by Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki of Production I.G and Sola Digital Arts fame, with Russian illustrator Illya Kuvshinov doing character designs. Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi will be composing the music; the pair have composed music for the Metal Gear Solid and Halo series.
