World Of Warships Announces 24-Hour Charity Livestream For Save The Children
By Alleef Ashaari|December 9, 2021|0 Comment
World Of Warships (PC) and World Of Warships Legends (consoles), have announced their upcoming Christmas charity live stream, featuring 24 hours of games, special guests, giveaways and charity challenges. To further spread the spirit of giving, Wargaming will offer charity bundles for sale to both PC and console players, with all proceeds going to the global humanitarian organization Save the Children. Finally, upon completion of the live stream, Wargaming will match the funds that have been raised by viewers with a donation of its own.
Starting from Saturday, 11 December 2 at 1am GMT+8, players and fans can tune into the live stream, donate, and earn in-game rewards. All proceeds of the entire live stream will be dedicated to Save the Children, which works every day in more than 100 countries to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. This is part of a continued partnership with the charity, which has seen Wargaming’s community raise over US$88,000 in previous years.
ergey Vorobyev, World Of Warships’ Product Director, said:
“We are very grateful to be in a position to help our charity partner Save the Children and support them in an effort to protect those most vulnerable and improve their living conditions.
The Holiday season is traditionally especially festive in the World of Warships community, thus we wanted to spread the joy even further and give our players an opportunity to unite and support a worthy cause.â€
During the stream, viewers can participate in charity auctions with rare ships and unique merchandise, interactive games, and quizzes, as well as watch in-game battles with special guests, and the World Of Warships staff generally having fun at their own expense for a good cause.
Ettore Rossetti, Lead Advisor, Technology/Marketing/Innovation Partnerships for Save the Children, said:
“Save the Children is thrilled to, once again, partner with Wargaming and their dedicated community of gamers who have been extremely supportive to our efforts.”
The event also marks the launch of the Save the Children Charity Bundle in the World Of Warships Premium Shop. These containers will include a unique patch and flag, along with a boatload of camouflages for players to deck out their winter warships. Console players will get their own charity bundle in World Of Warships Legends. 100 percent of the proceeds of these limited-time bundles will be donated to Save the Children and matched by World Of Warships with an equal donation.
This stream will be hosted on the World Of Warships Twitch Channel here.
