Are We Getting A PC Version Of Red Dead Redemption 2?
Rockstar’s latest is out now for PS4 and Xbox One. But where’s the PC version? Well, it may be coming if this report from Rockstar Intel is anything to go by.
According to files inside the Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app, there are multiple references to the PC, graphics options and resolution types. The app contained a number of parameters within its files, including:
In addition, there are also numerous references to the game’s graphics options like temporal anti-aliasing, resolution of water reflections, shadow quality, and particle quality. While these might just be for a desktop version of the companion app, the aforementioned Oculus, graphics, and “PcVersion” lines mean that it could be prepping up for a full-fledged PC version of the game.
Rockstar won’t comment on this so soon, but we do hope our PC brethren will get their version of RDR2 soon enough. Here are some strong cases for a PC version:
