Valorant’s New Pearl Map Is Set Underwater

Riot Games’ multiplayer PvP shooter Valorant will be getting a Episode 5 Act 1 update. With that milestone oncoming, players will get to play on the game’s new map called Pearl later this June.

The map is Valorant’s 8th map and the first one set on Omega Earth. Pearl itself has just three lanes with small, mid, and long-range wings. Given the name and pictures below, you’ll be fighting in an underwater lot filled with Portugese murals, architecture, and culture.

In addition, there will be a new Episode 5 Act 1 Battlepass which features the following free highlights:

• Shimmer Classic
• Operation: Vacation Player Card
• That’s a Blowout Spray
• Perfect Pattern Gun Buddy

…and paid highlights (pay 1,000VP;, and the following gets unlocked):

• Task Force 809 Knife
• Task Force 809 Phantom
• Spitfire Operator 
• Enter the Duelists Player Card
• Never Forget Leg Day Spray
• Cat Tactics Gun Buddy

The Episode 5 Act 1 update will also feature the Prelude To Chaos Skin line for the following weapons:

• Two-Handed Sword (melee)
• Vandal
• Operator
• Shorty
• Stinger

The skins themselves are emanating a dark, edgy, sci-fi, powerful, and chaotic theme as you can tell from the screenshots below. No price tier has been announced yet, but you know darn well they will cost quite a bit.

Valorant’s new Pearl map and Battle Pass for Episode 5 Act 1 will be out in 22 June.
