Final Fantasy XVI Is 95 Percent Complete, Release Date To Be Announced Later This Year

In an interview with Famitsu, Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida, lead director Hiroshi Takai, and creative director/lead scenario writer Kazutoyo Maehiro confirmed that the game is 95 percent complete. They also confirmed that the game will likely receive a proper release date later within this year (2022).

According to them, the developers are currently working on polishing the game; debugging it and fixing any major bugs. Perhaps we’ll get a release date during The Game Awards 2022 in December 2022? Fingers crossed.

Final Fantasy XVI is slated to launch for the PS5 as a timed exclusive sometime in summer 2023.
