G2 Gozen hoists the trophy as they win VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship, Valorant’s circuit that pits the best all-female teams against one another to aid and bring awareness to women in esports. Three members of this line-up are also the first women to win both Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Valorant World Championships
In October 2021, G2 Esports signed the roster of The Originals to represent them in this year’s Valorant Champions Tour 2022: Game Changers. The lineup features Julia “juliano” Kiran, Petra “Petra” Stoker, Michaela “mimi” Lintrup, Anastasiya “Glance” Anisimova, and Maryam “Mary” Maher.

Going into VCT 2022: Game Changers’s EMEA league, G2 Gozen has had an impressive run, placing in the top two in all three Series and qualifying for the VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship through points.
G2 Gozen had an amazing run on their way to the Grand Finals, only dropping one map and taking down the likes of Thailand’s X10 Sapphire, Cloud9 White, and Team Liquid Brazil. After They would go on to face Shopify Rebellion GC (SRGC) in the gruelling Best of 5 Grand Final, going all the way to Map 5.
SRGC would take the first two maps on Pearl and Bind 13–9 meaning by Map 3, SRGC were already at tournament point with the series at 2–0.
In the next three maps, G2 Gozen would go on to completely obliterate SRGC, winning Map 3 Ascent 13–3, Map 4 Icebox 13–2 and the final map of the series, Breeze 13–5. Officially crowning G2 Gozen as the first ever VCT Game Changers World Champions and also making juliano, mimi and petra the first women to hold CS:GO and Valorant world titles.
All three women were a part of XSET’s CS:GO female roster until September of last year before switching to Valorant.
