A Live-Action Dungeons & Dragons Series Is In The Works At Paramount Plus

A new live-action Dungeons & Dragons series is in development for Paramount Plus. The first season will feature eight episodes and the first episode pilot script is written by Red Notice director Rawson Marshall Thurber, who is also set to direct the first episode of the series.

According to Deadline, the series will be a co-production between eOne and Paramount Pictures. They are also partnering, co-producing and co-financing the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves movie directed by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley, which premieres on 31 March 2023.

However, it’s currently unclear if the movie and series will be connected or be considered to be separate. The iconic Dungeons & Dragons tabletop game comes from Wizards Of The Coasts and was first launched over 49 years ago. The franchise has since expanded to include video games and more.
