No, You’re Not Getting Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Before April 2024; Here’s Why
Fans of the Dragon Age RPG series looking for their next fix will have to keep waiting.
EA has announced that the upcoming RPG Dragon Age: Dreadwolf won’t be out before April 2024 during its fiscal year report for this quarter. The company shared its list of games for release for this fiscal year, which ends on 31 March 2024. This includes Super Mega Baseball 4, Immortals of Aveum, Madden 24, EA Sports FC, and NHL 24. Other titles from EA for that year include an unannounced EA Sports title and unannounced racing game.
Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is nowhere on that fiscal year. Possible reasons for the post-April 2024 release include Bioware general manager Gary McKay stating that the game is still in alpha status and needs more polishing, especially in its pacing and “narrative cohesion”. Leaks for the game previously surfaced and alludes to the game being a single-player action RPG game not unlike the God of War reboot, loading screens disguised as crawlspace and all.
Our thoughts? There’s a good chance a gameplay trailer for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be out later in 2023, most likely for the end-of-year Game Awards.
