Street Fighter 6 Will Be Getting New Drive Rush Cancel Inputs Alongside The Rashid Update
24 July is the day Street Fighter 6 fans will get a new character to play as: Rashid from Street Fighter 5. It’s also the day that they’ll get a most-requested feature added in-game.
Starting from 24 July, you can now perform Drive Rush Cancels by pressing MP+MK (medium punch plus medium kick) for Classic Controls, or Drive Parry button for Modern Controls. Previously, you can only do this by pressing forward twice. Now you have an additional input to work with!
Some caveats: you need to keep your sticks/analogs in the neutral or forward position. This means you can not perform this alternative set of inputs while holding down or backwards (ie: buffering charge moves).
A new quality-of-life feature is coming with the Rashid update on July 24!

This is great news as players have experienced wrist strain by tapping forward twice while attempting heavy Drive Rush Cancels, which is incredibly common in intermediate play and onward.
Street Fighter 6 is already out now for PC and consoles.
