MYDCF 2023: Animasia Studio Wins SEA KRE8TIF! Asia Awards

This week’s Malaysia Digital Content Festival (MYDCF) event celebrates not just the best in video games in Malaysia & Southeast Asia, but also the booming animation circuit. And this week’s 25th DigiCon6 Asia Awards was no exception in highlighting the best of the business.

Animasia Studio won the coveted Audience Choice Awards and gold at the 25th DigiCon6 Asia Awards 2023 – Malaysia Circuit. This is for their animation short “The 7th Night: MaoMao Revisits”.

“The 7th Night: MaoMao Revisits” delivers a compelling narrative that resonates with viewers, showcasing the depth of talent at Animasia Studio. The multiple accolades it received at both awards serve as a testament to the studio’s unwavering commitment to producing world-class animation.”

Other standouts include “The Horologist” by Grim Film, which won Best Story. The short also received “Best Animation” at the San Diego Comic Con 2023.

MDEC is currently hosting the Malaysian Digital Expo 2023 from now until 8 November 2023; it’s a six long week event celebrating the best of Malaysia’s animation, film, and gaming content.
