Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 Is In Production

Following the positive reception of the latest Castlevania anime production on Netflix, the streaming service went ahead with the following announcement.

Season 2 of Castlevania: Nocturne is officially in production according to a recent post on the official Castlevania Twitter account. No release date or year has been announced yet since this is fresh stuff at the moment. Spoiler warning for those who haven’t finished Season 1, by the by.

And yes, Alucard from the debut series will be returning. He popped up at the end of Season 1 to save Richter, Maria, and Annette from certain doom.

The Twitter post teased a ton of scenes for Season 2, including the gravestone of one Lydie Erlanger, who is Juste Belmont’s late wife. And also Maria and Alucard having a heart-to-heart talk, most likely about their respective moms (Maria’s mom Tera sacrificed herself to god-mode Bathory so that Richter & co. can escape). It’s clear as day that the show will put in elements of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night somehow. Edouard, who turned into a night creature, is seemingly alive as well, so we’ll see more of him.

Castlevania: Nocturne is out right now on Netflix; you can check out our review of Season 1 here.
