A New PlayStation VR Horror Shooter Is Coming Out Later This Month

Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited Singapore Branch (SIES) has announced Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cipher, a new PlayStation VR title by developer Viva Games. It is slated to be released later this month on 20 March 2019.

Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cipher, previously known as Kill X, is a horror shooter game with a mix of suspenseful combat, problem-solving and exploration. Players will assume the role of Tyre, an ex-special forces soldier traveling to the Isle of Yingzhou after the mysterious death of his mother. Together with Ksana (an estranged friend of his mother), Tyre seeks to uncover the truth behind her death and her even more enigmatic past.

There will be over 15 different weapons to choose from, utilizing the dual PlayStation Move controllers. The visuals do look atmospheric and scary to a certain degree, with what seems to be Lovecraftian monsters lurking about as enemies in the game. There’s even a massive tentacled creature at the end of the trailer.

Those who pre-purchase Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cipher by 16 April 2019 will receive the WWII SMG weapon as an early purchase bonus. The PS VR horror shooter game is priced at RM74 on the PlayStation Store.
