[Rumour] Genshin Impact Developer miHoYo Hints At Potential New Game

The makers of Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, miHoYo also known as HoYoverse may potentially develop a new game due to recent Chinese trademarks and a newly-opened channel on streaming platform Bilibili.

In a recent Reddit post, eagle-eyed fans observed that miHoYo registered a new trademark on the official Chinese trademark information website on 2 February 2 2024. The name of the trademark, XinBuGuDi, can be directly translated into English as ‘Star Cloth Valley’. Additionally, there are across accounts with the same name on both Bilibili and Weibo. The Bilibili account, in particular, has been linked to an IP address located in Shanghai, which is the headquarters of miHoYo.

Speculation is rife among fans regarding the newly registered name, leading many to believe that it belongs to a previously leaked simulation management game. The game, if indeed in development, is expected to have a style reminiscent of other popular titles within the genre such as Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.

As nothing is set in stone, we will just have to take the news with a grain of salt. Especially with Zenless Zone Zero having no definite release date yet.
