Gearbox Officially Announces Borderlands 4, Coming In 2025

During Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, Gearbox Software officially announced that Borderlands 4 will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC sometime in 2025.

The only thing we know about the game so far is the description below:

In this next installment of the definitive looter shooter, players will assume the role of a legendary Vault Hunter as they blast their way through hordes of enemies in search of new treasures to loot on an all-new planet.

It’s not really great timing for the game to be announced right now because of the utter failure of the recent Borderlands movie, both critically and financially (check out our review here). The last major instalment in the franchise was 2019’s Borderlands 3.
