Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game gets Delayed to 2025
Private Division and Weta Workshop have announced that the release of the highly anticipated fantasy life simulation game, Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, will be delayed until early 2025. The decision was made to ensure that the game meets the highest standards and provides the best experience for players.
The developers shared their excitement for players to explore the Shire, a peaceful corner of J.R.R. Tolkien’s world. They want every player’s first step into Bywater to be everything they’ve hoped for, which is why they are taking the extra time to ensure that the game delivers on this vision.
To make up for the delay, the team will be hosting a Hobbit Day Showcase on 23 September 2024. Fans can expect to learn more about Tales of the Shire and get the confirmed new release date during the showcase, which will be available on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and TikTok at 1:30 am MYT.

Tales of the Shire promises to offer a relaxing life-sim experience, allowing players to embrace the simple life of a hobbit in the quaint hills of the Shire. Players can look forward to activities such as cooking, fishing, foraging, decorating, trading, and more in this vibrant new iteration of Middle-earth.
Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
