TGS 2024: MDEC And Matrade Launches Malaysia Pavilion
It’s a good day for the games industry in Malaysia, as it’s getting some shine in Japan’s biggest video game trade show of 2024.
The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), in partnership with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), has launched the Malaysia Pavilion at the prestigious Tokyo Game Show 2024 (TGS 2024) today. This is MDEC’s eighth consecutive year participating in the globally renowned gaming event.
The Malaysia Pavilion serves as a platform for 10 leading Malaysian gaming companies to showcase their innovative offerings to the global market, including opportunities for collaboration with international game developers, content creators, and technology companies. Here is the full list of companies who will be at the Malaysia Pavilion at TGS 2024:
- Ammobox Studios: the makers of real-time strategy and shooter hybrid title Eximius.
- Magnus Game Studios: the makers of Re:Legend, Ethia Online, and Project Survival.
- Todak Studios: Game and game peripheral company; part of esports organization Todak.
- Why Know: Game dev services and game art creation.
- Rcade Studio: Makers of brawl title Xeroes.
- Goolee: makers of puzzle game Goolee.
- Bear Down Studios: Concept art development services.
- Dreamscapes Edtech: Immersive game-based learning digital world company.
- eSolved MSC: Youniverse games maker; involved with Metaverse.
- Adticles Sdn. Bhd: An AR/VR content development company.
Present at the launch were His Excellency Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, Datuk Fadzli Abdul Wahit, MDEC Head of Digital Transformation Division, and Mr. Zuaziezie Zulkefli, Trade Commissioner of MATRADE Tokyo, as well as key representatives from the Malaysian tech and digital community.
