Leaked Warcraft II Remastered Teases Possible Anniversary Announcement
A remastered edition of Warcraft II might just be on the horizon, as recent leaks suggest Blizzard’s planning a major reveal soon.
Wowhead reports that images and logos for Warcraft II Remastered have surfaced, originating from Blizzard’s own servers. Allegedly, these assets were found in a recent content delivery network update, which also hints at a ‘Warcraft II: Remastered Internal Alpha.’

First released in 1995, Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness was a fantasy RTS gem for PC and Mac. The game even made it to PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1997, bundled with the 1996 expansion Beyond the Dark Portal.
The official announcement, if real, could come next week during Blizzard’s Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct on 13 November. This digital celebration will span World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Warcraft Rumble, followed by a special World of Warcraft concert for its 20th anniversary.
