SEGA Revives A Classic At The Game Awards

It’s official: SEGA is bringing back Virtua Fighter—and no, it’s not another iteration of Virtua Fighter 5. At The Game Awards 2024, SEGA revealed the first mainline Virtua Fighter title in over a decade: Virtua Fighter 6. This new entry, set for release in 2025, will usher in a fresh chapter for the legendary franchise, launching on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S.

Fans of the series can expect to get a sneak peek later tonight on 13 December, when SEGA airs a Virtua Fighter Direct 2024, diving deep into what makes VF6 the next big step for the franchise.
