Invincible Season 3 Premiere Episodes Introduce New Suit & Status Quo In Mark’s Life

Created by Robert Kirkman (and artists Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley), Invincible revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson who learns that he has inherited incredible powers from his superhero alien father, Omni-Man. The comic series ran for 144 issues from 2003 to 2018, with many spinoffs and its own cohesive shared universe.

I’ll be discussing heavy spoilers so if you haven’t seen it or want to avoid spoilers, now’s your chance to stop reading.

 

Episode 1

Invincible And Rexsplode Fight Fightmaster And Dropkick, They Also Beat Up Multi Paul

Just like in the comics.

Against Multi Paul.

Cecil Unleashes Darkwing And His ReAnimen

To help defeat Doc Seismic and his subterranean insectoids.

This makes Mark mad because Darkwing is supposed to be in prison and the ReAnimen are reanimated corpses created by a former supervillain, D.A. Sinclair.

Episode 2

We Get To See A Younger Cecil Stedman And His Origin Into Becoming The Man He Is Today

He became disfigured and injured during a mission when he was a younger agent.

He could have fully fixed his face but he wanted to keep it as a reminder not to make any future mistakes.

He was also incarcerated after going against his boss but was then rehired again to replace his boss as the director of the organization, the Global Defence Agency.

Mark Rebels Against Cecil For Using The ReAnimen And For Putting A Weapon That Could Disable Him Inside Of Him

Things will never be the same again.

The Guardians Of The Globe Side With Invincible Against Cecil

After seeing what Cecil is doing to Mark.

After all is said and done, Mark says that he will never work with Cecil again.

However, the Guardians are later squabbling with each other over whether Cecil or Mark is right.

Without telling Mark first, so he gets scolded.

Damn, just like in the comics. Brutal.

Levy Angstrom Is Still Plotting His Revenge

Yes, he is still alive and things are not looking good for Mark.
