Now that the embargoes for Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok have lifted, we now can tell you a bit about the epic boss fights and summons, as well as new playable heroes in the upcoming DLC.

Of course, as a fighting game nut, I can’t help but ask if there will be future updates for Cygames’ fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising stemming from Endless Ragnarok and Relink. More specifically, will the Relink-exclusive characters like Id, Maglielle, Gallanza, and Lilith be playable in a future GBVS Rising Season Pass 3 or 4? Or even “newcomers” to the console games like Fraux and Fediel?

Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok creative director (and Granblue Fantasy series head honcho) Tetsuya Fukuhara and narrative director Sanshiro Hidaka said that it’s a possibility, during an exclusive session at Summer Game Fest 2026. At least for fans, two out of the four have been heavily requested to appear in the Cygames 2D fighting game.

“There are many, MANY voices calling for the inclusion of Id and Maglielle to appear in GBVS Rising. So we certainly will not deny the possibility.”

As to whether the characters will appear in the original mobile game, that was a point of discussion after the original Relink came out. “[After the release of Endless Ragnarok], we’ll see where that goes.”
