Where Winds Meet Hidden Mountain Storyline’s Final Chapter Is Now Live

Netease’s year-old Wuxia open-world action RPG just launched its big update today, and concludes a big story arc alongside giving players new tools to mess around with.

NetEase Games and Everstone Studio today announced the official global launch of Version 2.2 for Where Winds Meet, unveiling the long-awaited finale to the Hidden Mountain storyline. Players can now dive into the emotional resolution of the mountain’s fate with epic vengeance, two new story Campaigns, an all-new Wuxia extraction mode and formidable World Bosses.

The Climax of Hidden Mountain

The mysteries of Hidden Mountain unfold in the final chapters, “A Bitter Winter” and “Sea of Sunfire.” As the secret of Black Gold triggers fresh turmoil, players will join Grandmaster Swallow to uncover the scheme behind Skyward City and witness Elder Peng’s defining choice on the future of the Mohist Hill sect. Confront an old foe, Qianye – the mastermind behind the tragedy at Blissful Retreat who destroyed your home and stole your loved ones.

Two New Campaigns

Skyward City Ruins: Ride a Wooden Eagle in a high-speed aerial pursuit through collapsing towers to confront former Grandmaster Halcyon, uncovering a long-buried chapter of Mohist history and her devotion to “benefiting the people.”

Final Direction: Enter a high-stakes duel deep within a magnetics-driven battlefield. As gravitational forces constantly reverse, players face Elder Peng to witness his ultimate choice: should the Mohist Hill sect remain isolated, or bring its mechanical arts into the troubled world?

All-New Wuxia Extraction: “Transdust Ruins”

Arriving September 23, Transdust Ruins redefines the extraction genre by seamlessly fusing tactical loot-and-scoot gameplay with authentic Wuxia martial arts. Deploying solo or in three-player squads into the dangerous deserts, players search for rare treasures while making high-stakes choices around limited extraction slots.

Beyond direct swordplay and martial combat, players can leverage signature martial arts and mystical arts to outsmart rivals. From using disguises and stealthy pickpocketing to paralyzing foes with Acupoint Strike, players can steal key loot and make clean escapes without ever drawing a blade—offering PvPvE players an unpredictable, high-risk sandbox where wits matter as much as weapon mastery.

Formidable World Bosses and Mid-Autumn Festival

Wilds of Hidden Mountain also welcome two fierce World Bosses: Goshawk, a hammer-wielding warrior unleashing searing iron-flower assaults, and Golden Colossus Taicu, a massive mechanized titan requiring players to destroy arena structures to break its seal before leaping onto its body to disable its core.
