The Monkey From Friends Will Be Yorick’s Companion In Y: The Last Man

The folks at FX has finally found its main star for its upcoming adaptation of acclaimed comic book series Y: The Last Man. And no, we’re not talking about Yorick’s actor.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Katie, a female capuchin monkey known for starring in Friends as Ross’ pet monkey in the show’s earlier seasons, will be cast as Ampersand in the post-apocalyptic series where all the men in the world died save for one. The monkey is now in her late 20s, meaning she still has quite a career since these little fellas can live up to 40.

Fans of the comic book series will remember Ampersand for being a key player in the series as well as Yorick’s best friend. Hopefully, she won’t be humping everything in sight like in her last breakthrough TV role.
