Netflix’s Castlevania Season 4 Announced

The Netflix Castlevania series has been quite entertaining to watch, and stands as one of the few video game adaptations to actually succeed. It burns slow, yes, but the payoff is usually worth it.

Now we get to enjoy all that again; the streaming company will be renewing its Castlevania animated series for a fourth season.

No other details have been revealed yet; most likely the show will drop mid-2021 or much later. After all, Season 3 premiered in March 2020.

My Thoughts

We didn’t get a review of Season 3 up, so let’s do one right now: the show still retains its combo of humour, supernatural horror, violence, and emotional beats, especially with the 10-episode runtime of Season 3. Warren Ellis’ writing really shines and stands out in combining all these very, very exquisitely.

Perhaps the strength of the show lies in such non-action-packed moments like this one…

Chilling.
