Animangaki 2020 Is Cancelled; Online Event To Take Its Place

Last year’s Animangaki was a treasure of an anime event held in Malaysia. Which is why it’s sad to hear that this year’s Animangaki is cancelled due to recent Malaysia MOC extension news to contain & combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The government advised many event organizers that any form of mass gathering in the next six months or longer will be postponed or cancelled to prevent further outbreaks.

However, the Animangaki committee will instead host a brand-new online event called, surprise surprise, Animangaki Online this August. More details on this will be shared next month.

COVID-19 has been putting a damper on game and anime expo plans, but it can’t be helped if everyone’s working together to fight it. We look forward to the online event the next few months.
