[Rumour] Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1 and Vol. 1 Announced

Retro games are not going out of style anytime soon, and if this Microsoft Store leak is of any indication, we may be knee-deep in a lot of classic titles.

The Microsoft Store has listed unannounced Namco classic games collections dubbed Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1 and Namco Museum Archives Vol. 2.

Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1 will feature the following titles, including a new 8-bit demastered version of Pac-Man Championship Edition.

  • Dig Dug
  • Dragon Buster
  • Dragon Spirit: The New Legend
  • Galaxian
  • Mappy
  • Pac-Man
  • Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti
  • Sky Kid
  • The Tower of Druaga
  • Xevious

Namco Museum Archives Vol. 2 will feature these classics, including an 8-bit consolized version of Gaplus.

  • Battle City
  • Dig Dug II
  • Dragon Buster II
  • Galaga
  • Gaplus
  • Legacy of the Wizard
  • Mappy-Land
  • Mendel Palace
  • Pac-Land
  • Rolling Thunder
  • Super Xevious

These collections will feature a “save function” and the “replay function”; basically streamlined versions of the save state option on your emulators. It’s safe to assume that these collections will also be out for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Basically these collections are worth looking out for if you haven’t bought them for the umpteenth time for your PS1s and PS2s, or past generation consoles.
