Ghost Of Tsushima Doshoos Its Way To Highest Rated Game Of The Generation
By Alleef Ashaari|August 13, 2020|0 Comment
Sucker Punch’s Ghost Of Tsushima has already achieved a lot of milestones since launch, including becoming the PS4’s fastest-selling new IP with more than 2.4 million units sold through globally in its first three days of sales. However, that’s not all, as it looks like it’s resonating well with the majority of gamers who have played the game.
According to Forbes’ Paul Tassi, Ghost Of Tsushima is now the highest-rated game of the current console generation (PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, but not counting the PC). At the time of writing, the user score for the game on Metacritic now stands at 9.3 based on a total of 15,125 ratings.
However, it’s worth pointing out that the critics’ score for Ghost Of Tsushima is pretty low compared to other highly-rated games in the current generation at only 8.3, but we’re focusing strictly on the user reviews.
There are also several other games with a slightly higher user rating, like Pillow Castle’s Superliminal (9.5 on Xbox One, 9.7 on Nintendo Switch), but those ratings are only based on a few hundred reviews instead of the thousands that Ghost Of Tsushima has received.
It’s impressive that the PS4 is essentially ending its exclusive run this generation with such a well-received game. Kudos to the folks at Sucker Punch as well. Perhaps now they can make a new Sly Cooper game? Fingers crossed.
