Netflix’s Pacific Rim Anime Drops Next Month

Pacific Rim The Black is Netflix’s upcoming animated series set in the same universe as 2013’s Pacific Rim by Guillermo Del Toro and 2018’s Pacific Rim Uprising by Steven S. DeKnight.
The synopsis reads:
As Kaiju rising from the sea overrun Australia, two siblings search for their parents as they fight to survive, together.
It was originally announced back in 2018, with the title officially revealed in late 2020.
The first brief teaser trailer for Pacific Rim The Black only reveals that Kaiju have attacked Australia and Jeager mechs are being deployed to combat them. We see one of these Jaegers piloted by two main siblings initiating the drift sequence. Marvel comics writer Craig Kyle and Marvel animation writer Greg Johnson serve as showrunners, with Polygon Pictures producing the animation.
It is slated to premiere on Netflix on 4 March 2021. In the meantime, check out the trailer below:
